Northridge Day 1

Linda spent two days at Northridge Elementary in Wapakoneta, Ohio. For each day, she conducted an assembly presentation followed by individual classroom instruction where she read the book, “Henry’s Life as a Tulip Bulb” and she illustrated an actual page out of her new book, “Up, Up and Away to the Moon, Henry”.

The students helped Linda create the book by choosing the colors to be used in this page for her new book.

After sharing various techniques on water colors, erasers, pen and ink, Linda created a 10 frame storyboard and taught the students how to build a plot for a story. The students created the characters which consist of Henry, Bob the Caterpillar, and “An Alien”.

As the day progressed, John, Linda’s assistant took photographs and uploaded them to the site. Here’s what we captured!

By the next day, Joel, a student at Northridge had created his own picture of Henry “Developing an Attitude of Gratitude”

Thanks, Joel! Very good likeness!

It was close, but we found it! We finally have Christopher’s art work that we scanned and placed onto the web.

Thank you Christopher! Henry looks cool!
